The next family trip we were able to take this past summer was to Old Cedar Campground in Monroeville, NJ. We were actually supposed to go to Hospitality Creek campground with some friends but they were unable to join us for the weekend and the campground was sold out.
Old Cedar was a decent campground with some pretty good amenities and half-decent bathrooms. I wouldn’t go out of my way to stay there again but if the campground was convenient to an activity or destination we were already going to I wouldn’t run away from it either.
We took my children’s friends for this trip and our friends that were supposed to spend the weekend with us ended up being able to come out for the day on Saturday so it turned out to be a pretty decent trip.
My younger son and his friend ended up staying up and goofing off in their tent until about 1am so they were pretty tired on Saturday but all in all it was still a fun trip.
